Beer Labels

For this projected we were intrusted to utilize an aspect of Art Nouveau in our beer label.
Art Nouveau is a style of art prominent in Western Europe is the late 1800s. It is based around linear designs and flowing curves.
When attempting to utilize this in a beer label, I recognized that I wanted to use a Greek goddess and utilize the long flowing hair and the traditional leaves connotative with a Greek goddess. Once again using the stylist was extremely helpful as I traced a girl dressed as a Greek goddess for the middle image. I used illustrator as I like the layout better than Photoshop and felt I would have more control over the image. I like how it ultimately came out, the simplicity of not using color but using just lines to show the form of my drawing.
Drawing-wise this was one of my favorite projects as I enjoy drawing and it gave me an opportunity to do so while also creating a beer label. I also thought it was interesting to do some research on beer and the new trend with having refillable beer bottles so I wanted to incorporate that in part of the project. Overall I love how this project came out.
